And you thought we were just going for soup!

I was scheduled to fly out to San Antonio to celebrate my brothers birthday as you know from my previous post, and Banks got a craving for Red Lobster. We had an early morning volunteering for our kids' fundraising event at school. We met some cool people, managed to draw attention to ourselves in a not so good way according to a woman who took it amongst herself to ask us to stop doing handstands and wrestling moves, and at this point we were hungry. The plan was to head out and get some lunch before we picked up our girls and made our way to the airport.... Well, seeing how rarely anything goes as planned with us, I have no idea why I expected this to be any different. We arrived at Red lobster, stomachs growling. After an intimate conversation with our waitress regarding cheddar biscuits, banks excuses herself to go to the bathroom. A few minutes later I saw her in the corner of my eye peeping around a wall holding a three-pound lobster....

In case you were wondering she totally got busted when the host came back to his post and she quickly made her way back to the table. Just as we were finishing our meal a woman walks by and asks us how our food was. Some how the conversation lead to a comment about how cool her hair was. Little did I know, she happened to be the general manager for that location.

When she walked away, one of her employees enlightened us on her position and encouraged me to youtube the Red Lobster commercial she was in... you know I couldn't pass that up. I also provided the link below in case you wanted to check it out:

I watch the video and immediately thought it would be cool to have her autograph my shirt. I went to the host stand and requested her presence. When she arrived she was at first unwilling to sign my t-shirt and actually quite modest, noting my t-shirt was worth more than her autograph. I persuaded our server Jenelle to sign my shirt first to kind of break the ice so to speak.

Everyone was smiling having a good time and the GM Jody, got in the spirit as well, eventually posing with me and a lobster. Best of all, I managed to get her to sign my shirt and I'm stopping by when I get back to Cali to drop her off some stickers!
